51/28 Nos 1 - 5 (consecutive) Mariteau House 3.8.61 (Formerly listed as Mariteau House (including Camornsey Cottage)

GV II

Late C18 mansion, now five flats. Three storeys. Five windows. Stuccoed, ground floor rusticated with stringcourse above this. Stringcourse also above first floor. Cornice and parapet with flat pediment over the 3 centre window bays which are each flanked by Ionic pilasters rising through the first and second floors. Windows in moulded surrounds with architraves over those on the first floor. Glazing bars missing. The original central doorway has been replaced by 2 modern round-headed doorways. The centre window on the first and second floor above this has been divided vertically into two by a partition when the house was converted into flats. To the North is a recessed addition, now No 5. This has two storeys and two windows. Red brick and stone rubble. String- course and parapet. Ground floor addition at south end now part of No 1.
