BARCOMBE HIGH STREET 1. 5206 Barcombe Cross Chestnut Cottage Premises of W R Dean, Butcher with house attached, Hogge House TQ 41 NW 6/122 II GV
2. C18 block, the Butcher's Shop probably older. Two storeys. Seven windows. Grey headers with red brick dressings and on the house attached to the Butcher's Shop also quoins and flush stringcourse, the shop faced with weather-boarding, Hogge House stuccoed. Tiled roofs. Glazing bars intact except in Hogge House. The Butcher's Shop has a C19 shop window with hood over, surmounted by an iron balcony. Hogge House has a projecting canopy over ground floor with slate roof and between the first floor windows a figure of a pig in relief.
