House. 1788 for J. Grey. Rear wing added 1910 for Cuthbert Grey. Ashlar with Welsh slate roof, renewed brick chimneys. 2 storeys plus attics, 3 bays. In the centre a large early C19 glazed porch. Within it an early C19, half- glazed door and fanlight with scalloped radial head, in fine open- pedimented surround with attached fluted Doric columns and paterae in the friezes. Mid-C19 canted bay window to right with 16- and 8-pane sashes. Late-C19 bay window to left. On the 1st floor three 12-pane sashes, Moulded eaves cornice. Gabled roof with flat coping and end stacks.
Interior: staircase with stick balusters and turned newels. The principal newel is boldly twisted with acanthus base and necking, and supports a lampholder. In the drawing room two cupboards flanking the fireplace have half-glazed, round-headed doors with scalloped radiating glazing bars; also an elliptical-arched niche, 6-panel doors, panelled shutters. Restrained late C18 wood fireplaces with original. grates.
