TL 7734 SIBLE HEDINGHAM RECTORY ROAD 9/293 Nos. 23 & 24 (Greys Hall) 2l 6 62 GV II*
House. Circa 1714. Moses Cooke. Painted brick. Red plain tiled roof with parapet verges, the face to Rectory Road with four small hipped gables and halved, hipped gables to right and left. Red brick chimney stacks to right and left. Two storeys and attics. Central hipped dormer and flat headed dormer to left. Three bays. The central staircase projection with railings, parapets with moulded cornices to left and right bays. Pilasters to each angle. Central band. 1:1:1 window range, those to first floor left and right of small paned vertically sliding sashes, ground floor similar of two lights. Similar longer windows to centre bay the first floor with recessed arch over, the ground floor with gauged brick arch and band over. Churchyard face. Two storeys attics and basement. Panelled parapet with moulded cornice. Pilasters to right and left. Central band to right and left. Two flat head dormers. Three window range to first floor of small paned vertically sliding sashes. Two window range to ground floor of two light small paned vertically sliding sashes. Two basement windows. All with segmental brick arches. Central eight panel two light door with reveal panels approached by steps. To the north is a smaller two storey extension with a single storey pantiled outhouse. Painted brick, red tiled roof, two red brick chimney stacks, three window range of C20 casements, two range to outhouse. Two vertically boarded doors and one half glazed door. The main range with much C18 detail.
