The original portion is a timber-framed building of about 1600. This was restored and enlarged in 1910 by Ernest Newton for Mr Justice Henry Button Buckley, later Lord Wrenbury (1845-1935). The original part is the central section. 2 storeys. 3 windows. Ground floor red brick, above tile-hung. Tiled roof. Casement windows. C17 panelling inside. Addition of 1910 at each end in ashlar, redbrick and tile- hanging.
