(Formerly listed as The New Inn, ROCHDALE ROAD, Baitings)

Former public house mid C18 with sundial dated 1764. Hammer dressed stone, ashlar quoins, slate roof. Two storeys. Double-pile under two parallel roofs. South front has three bays of two-light sashed windows with plain stone surrounds and projecting sills. Set between first two bays is modern entrance with gabled porch c.1980. Original entrance is set between bays two and two. Monolithic jambs with overlapping lintel (blocked) over which is stone sundial with arched head finely engraved and inscribed " G J F/ Ab hoc Momento pendet Aeternitas/Latitude - 53, 45. 1764 ".
Stone gutter brackets. Right hand return wall has gable stack. Rear range of double-pile has wide Venetian window with raised impost, sill and dropped keystone to each floor. Quoins. Two other stacks to front range.
