2/33 Ice House, 60 metres south- west of road bridge crossing Ice House Dene II



Ice house embedded in south bank of Ice House Dene. c.1800. Narrow hand-made red bricks face interior and random rubble access tunnel. Circular plan. Round-arched tunnel leads down to egg-shaped inner chamber with domed roof. Tunnel is semi- ruinous and inner chamber partly filled-in.
