Danyell monument in churchyard, about 0.5 m south of chancel, Church of St Thomas of Canterbury

Chest tomb. Early Cl7. Doulting stone. Moulded plinth on slab base; semi-circular arched panels, one each end and two
each flank, with fluted Ionic pilasters; elaborated deep frieze on dentil course with scrollwork decoration: shallow
cove moulding to heavy steeply pitched hipped top. Commemorates several embers of Danyell family - inscriptions worn,
but one north side has date of 1623.
