House. Early C18 core refronted late C18 - early C19. Red-brick in Flemish bond on red sandstone plinth, plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attic, 2 windows to each floor; elongated wing to rear left and lean-to against rear right. Doorway to right of centre has late C19 6-panel door in wooden doorcase with sunken- panelled jambs and flat hood set on corbelled blocks; straight joint in brickwork above left jamb. Projecting sills and rubbed- brick, cambered arches to 16-pane sashes (boarded over); windows to right of door distorted by subsidence. Dentilled eaves; brick coping to left gable; end stacks. Left return: first bay of wing is of 3 storeys with 3-light horizontally-sliding sash to top-floor; rest of wing is lower and has tall central ridge stack. Interior: incomplete stick-baluster staircase. 1st-floor room to front left has oak boards; oak transverse beam with chamfer stops all encased in lath and plaster. Oak staircase (now without balustrade) rises through half turn to attic room over front left: incomplete oak boarding on oak joists - the floor at mid-height of front sash window. Attic room in rear wing has oak boards. Ground-floor rooms in rear wing have various oak beams and joists.
