Chapel, 1852, (in blue bricks on north facing wall). Red brick in
Flemish bond with slate roof, 3 bays. Stone plinth. Nave entrance, in
north-west gable, is a pair of oak doors in chamfered stone dressed
opening with single shaft and Gothic head. The door is surmounted by
a rose window based on six trefoils. Nave windows are pairs of
lancets in stone dressed openings with common mullion and blue brick
arches. There is blue brick diaper work, in diamond or cross
arrangement, below the windows. The three matching windows of the
canted chancel apse have trefoil head to the pairs and a trefoil light
at the head. The apse has flush quoins. A small tower, south-east of
the chancel, contains the vestry with an organ gallery above. This
starts square and becomes octagonal at window sill level. It has
lancets to each face, moulded band and a cornice surmounted by short
Tuscan columns to angles. The tower finishes, mid nave roof level,
with coped gables to the eight faces. The main roof has an eaves
dentil course and pyramid hipped end to the apse.
Interior: Integral nave and chancel separated only by the moulded
communion rail with wrought iron scroll supports. Turned baluster
rail to organ gallery. Stone piscina west wall of chancel with
matching holy water fonts both sides of nave entrance. Gothic trusses
on stone corbels with tie rods, exposed rafters. Included for group
