(Higher Langfield Cottages) 5/263 Nos 7 and & and attached barn

Hand pair of cottages now forming a single dwelling. Mid C18. Hammer-dressed stone, ashlar quoins and convex moulded stone gutter, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. To either side of paired doorways with monolithic jambs, chamfered windows forming single large light, formerly 2 wide lights, with scar of central mullion. Coped gable. 3 stacks to ridge. Attached to eastern end is large early C19 barn running north to south with rectangular ventilators in the gable. Tall segmental arched cart entry has projecting imposts and keystone. Semi- circular arched window over has similar detail. Listed for group value.
