House of 1675, with C19 additions. Large dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 3-room front, single aisle to rear. Plinth, string course which rises over windows and doorway. All are double chamfered mullioned windows which have the sills lowered and mullions extended. Reads, 6-light parlour window with same over. 6-light housebody window with same over. 3-light fire-window with same over of C19 date. Doorway with chamfered surround has raised lintel. 2 large C19 sashed windows with 6-light window over. Left hand return wall has tall extruded stack and added rear kitchen wing, probably C19 but reusing C17 stonework with mason's marks contemporary with main range. Coped gables with kneelers and ball finials. One other stack to ridge backs on to former through passage. Interior of housebody has bressumer beam to former fire area, plastered over. Timbered arcade to aisle is said to survive. The attached C19 house to the east, and the rear attached range of cottages to the north is of no interest and is excluded from the item.
