LAUNCELLS Well house and bridge about 40 metres south of Church of St Swithin

(Formerly listed as Well house and bridge about 50 metres north east of Church St Swithin)

GV II Well-house to holy well and adjacent bridge over stream. Well-house of medieval origins, C19 bridge. Dressed stone well-house, stone rubble bridge with brick-arch. Gabled well-house with rectangular opening set into bank. Stone lintel, stone coping on left side of gable, roughly-corbelled interior. Small single-span bridge with round arch has curved, slate-topped parapets. Possible remains of medieval cutwater in east side.
