9/28 Crossways 20.12.60 (formerly listed as GV Crossway Cottage)

Cottage. Mid C18, and early C19. Flint and brick, some cob, with a thatched roof. Front (south) of 1 storey and attic, 3 windows. Roof ½-hipped at the east end (with exposed frame in the gable), hipped and brought to a low eaves above outshots at the west- end and west side of the north elevation, eaves raised above the upper windows, and lowered above a C20 porch. Walls of flint with brick dressings; quoins, cambered arches, bands, diamonds in the upper band, small panel with recessed stone panel, plinth. The north gable and north wall (east side) have coursed knapped flint with brick band at eaves, 1st floor, and plinth level. Casements. Former doorway filled: C20 porch. Several bricks aze inscribed, with EN 1740, FJ 1742, ET, TT.
