5/77 Mill Post Farmhouse
II
House, formerly farmhouse; late C16, restored c.1980. 1 1/2 storeys and attics, 3-cell plan. Timber-framed and rendered; the front wall rebuilt C19 in red brick now colour-washed. Thatched roof, the right-hand end hipped; axial and gable chimneys of red brick; a flat-headed casement dormer. 2-light casements with segmental brick arches. C20 gabled brick entrance porch and boarded door. Typical example of a 3-cell C16 house with framing exposed internally, axial chimney serving hall and parlour, and good clasped-purlin roof originally hipped at both ends.
