Details
WISBECH LYNN ROAD TF 4609 (South Side) 6/77 St. Augustine's National Day and Sunday School GV II
School, built in 1874. Architect, Mr. Bassett-Smith. Gothic style. Foundation stone laid by Rev. John Scott, vicar of Wisbech and brother of Gilbert Scott. Yellow gault brick with red brick banding and decoration. Multi-gabled, plain tiled roofs with patterned ridge tiles. One storey. Large, three-lancet-light windows in each gable with trefoiled spandrels. Gabled entrance to east with two-centred doorway and boarded double doors. Gardiner, History of Wisbech, p.185, 1898.
