Includes: No.2 LATHAM STREET. Pair of small town houses. c.1830, altered. Red brick in Flemish bond, with sandstone dressings and slate roof. Double-depth plan except left end of No.12 which is single-depth interlocked with No.14 Avenham Lane (q.v.); No. 12 double-fronted and No.2 Latham Street single-fronted. Two storeys over cellars, 4+2 windows; No.12 has the doorway in the centre, No.2 Latham Street has it to the left, both with doorcases of engaged Tuscan columns with plain frieze and cornice, the doorway to No.12 round-headed but now altered as a window, but retaining the fanlight with radiating glazing bars, and that to No.2 square-headed with a plain overlight (and altered door); and immediately left of this a through-lobby doorway with plain lintel and geometrical traceried overlight. Each has a window over the door, No.12 has one on each floor to the left of the door and 2 to the right, No.2 Latham Street has one on each floor to the right, all with raised sills and wedge lintels and all with altered glazing. Left return of No.12 has one similar window on each floor, and an inserted doorway. INTERIOR and rear not inspected.
