ST9646 VICARAGE ROAD 900-1/3/107 (South East side) 04/07/52 No.23 Old Malthouse and attached outhouse and walls (Formerly Listed as: VICARAGE ROAD (South East side) No.23)

GV II

House, formerly a malthouse. C18, altered C19. Painted render over rubblestone, half-hipped concrete tile roof with brick stack to rear left. Probably 3-unit plan. 2 storeys; the left half is symmetrical 2-window range with outer pilasters, the right end is blank with a window to the right return. A C19 planked door under a segmental arch is flanked on both floors by C19 three-light casement windows and plain pilasters. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: to the right, a high painted rubblestone wall with pantile coping has segmental brick arches to a single planked door to the left and double doors to the right. The outhouse has a single-slope pantile roof. Attached to the front left is low painted rendered wall fronting Nos 19 and 21 (qv).
