GV II
Two shops with dwellings. Early C19. Flemish-bond brick, stone stepped voussoirs and cills, continuous pantile roof with brick stacks to gable ends. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys with basements; each shop 2-window range. 10/10-pane sash windows with small panes to the second floor; 6/6-pane sashes to the first floor of No.15 to left, and C20 fixed louvred windows to No.15. C20 shops below. To rear are wide bracketed eaves; No.15 is 2-window range with flat gauged brick arches; 8/12-pane sash windows to second floor; 12/12-pane sashes and a small late C19 window to right of first floor. No.17 is similar but wider, with a blind window to left of centre of second floor flanked by 8/12-pane sashes; 1/6-pane sash window below is flanked on the left by a 6/6-pane sash and on the right by a 12/12-pane sash. Adjacent wide elliptical cream brick gauged arches to ground floor are over the basement area; in the recesses are flat gauged brick arches, No.15 has C20 window and No.17 a 10/15-pane sash window; similar flat arches to former basement windows. The doors flanking these recesses have semicircular gauged cream brick arches and fanlights with Gothic glazing bars, No.15 has C20 door; No.17 has 6-panel door, the fanlight is partly painted over. To far left are 2 small C20 windows. INTERIORS not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: spearhead railings front the basement areas to rear of each building.
