GV II

Shop with dwelling, now cafe. Late C18/early C19. Flemish-bond brick with pantile roof and brick stack to left gable end. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys; 3-window range. Finely gauged flat arches to 8/8-pane sash windows to second floor and large sashes, probably early C20, with 15 panes to the top sash (3 rows of 5) over 2, to sides of first floor. To centre is early C20 full-height leaded 3-light oriel window with swept hipped lead roof and heavily dentilled cornice; the transom rises in a semicircular arch over central light (an Ipswich window); the moulded fascia over shop front is stepped out at centre to support it. 5 fluted pilasters panelled to the bases articulate the ground-floor facade, those to outsides have moulded corbels flanking the fascia; door to right, C20 leaded windows panelled below to the rest. Rear is painted brick 3-window range with segmental gauged brick arches to late C19 windows on upper floors; 4/1-pane sashes to second floor and 2/1-pane/ sashes to first floor. To left of ground floor, which is on a partially stone plinth, is a C20 cornice over wide 3-light leaded window with segmental arch to central light; door and C20 window to right. INTERIOR not inspected.
