3 houses. Dated 1906. By Waller and Son for Bathurst Estate.
Coursed squared limestone to ground floor, exposed
timber-framing to first floor, stone slate hanging to gable to
centre, brick to rear; stone slate roof; 2 ashlar ridge
stacks.
Tudor style; 2 storeys and attic to left, single-storey and
attic to right. First floor to left has one 4-light moulded
timber mullion window with leaded lights and bracketed cill,
similar 5-light canted oriel to right. Left attic has
flat-topped dormer with 3-light chamfered timber mullion
window, 2-light moulded timber mullion window with leaded
lights in gable to centre; attic to right has two gabled
half-dormers with 2-light moulded timber mullion windows with
leaded lights.
Ground floor has three 3-light chamfered stone mullion windows
with iron casements; 2 plank doors with basket-arched heads
with 2 leaded glazed panels and strap hinges; squint window in
chamfered surround in angle of left and right ranges with
weathered ashlar roof; carriage entrance to through passage to
rear to right has beaded timber lintel on shaped brackets on
moulded stone corbels, entrance to No.157 via pair of
half-glazed doors to left in through passage. Plinth with
chamfered top; mock jetty with moulded joist ends over ground
floor to left. Gable to centre projects over shaped timber
brackets. Plaster panel below oriel to first floor centre has
lettering B and date 1906.
INTERIOR not inspected. Included for group value.
