TG 2308 NW CASTLE MEADOW (north side) 16/136 5.6.72 No. 26 (Opie House) GV II Former house, now office. C18. Rendered brick and black pantiles. 3 storeys. 3 bays. C19 central door with attached columns supporting ornate over-door. C19 canted bay window to the right of the door with triple attached shafts with crocket capitals and decorative lintols. Sash windows elsewhere with glazing bars and simply moulded surround. Horizontal rustication on plinth to the left of the door and rusticated quoins. Paired bracket cornice. Plaque to Amelia Opie, who lived either in this or an adjoining house.
