1/20 Promenade Shelter
II
Shelter, probably 1905. Cast iron with wooden side screens and partition,
lead-covered roof. Square plan; slim iron columns at corners, each with
4 ornamental brackets in open arabesque pattern, supporting pavilion-
shaped roof swept out and emphatically ribbed, with blind bullseye
dormers protruding on each side; a depressed ogee square cap rests on
the apex, with needle-shaped finial rising from its centre.
