House. Probably C17, altered c1800 and 1860. Incised stucco; thatched roof running continuously with Chard Museum (qv) to the right. Brick gable end stack to right. Single-depth plan, three-rooms wide. Two storeys; three-window range. Central early C19 doorcase and six-panel door. To the left, an early C19 fixed casement four panes wide by three high; one upper pane opens. To the right and to the first floor, two/two-pane sashes with flat-headed architraves, frames set forward, with all but that to the right of the ground floor horned; C20 shutters to ground floor windows.

INTERIOR: some chamfered beams on ground floor; c1800 staircase and doors.
