Terraced row of workers' houses, set on ground falling steeply to rear. Early/mid C19. Flint cobbles and erratics with banding and dressings in red brick, slate roof, asymmetrical ridge with deeper rear pitch. Long rectangular plan. 3 storeys but only 2 storeys and basement seen from street. S front elevation: 11 repeated units with flat headed doors and windows, unaltered frontage has ground floor boarded door with moulded ledgers and sliding sash window with glazing bars, 4x4 panes, below, basement window with grating. First floor similar window to ground floor but 4x3 panes. Original doorway at Nos 19 & 31, some original windows at Nos 19, 27, 33 & 35. Eight houses have their cast-iron round headed boot scrapers. Rear N elevation: similar flint and brick walling, 3 clear storeys and red brick stretcher bond stack through roof pitch showing essentially, full-height integral out-shut design. Considerable replacement of doors and windows, mainly kept to original apertures, segment headed on ground and first floors, ground floor central door with upper glazed panel, 2 lower depressed panels. First and second floor sliding sashes, 6x3 panes (some sashes in first floor combine 3x3 and 2x3 panes). W end elevation: asymmetrical gable to sloping site. Flint and brick walling as front and back. INTERIOR: principal ground floor fireplace seen in No.31, broad with segment head.
