GV II
Public house. c1600 with later additions, refronted 1800. Timber-framing, with painted brick, facing; tile roof with some slate to rear, hipped to one end, with brick end and rear stacks. L-plan with later additions. Georgian style. 2 storeys; 5-window range. Top modillioned brick cornice. Entrance to right of centre has architrave, frieze and cornice, 6-panel door; flanking 2-storey canted bay windows; segmental-headed carriage entrance to left with plank doors with segmental-headed entrance to its left with half-glazed door. Left end bay window with 4:12:4-pane horned sashes; canted bays have 4:16:4-pane horned sashes to each floor; segmental-headed windows to 1st floor, that between bays is blind, 3-light C20 casement and 6-pane sash to left end. Right return is blind. Rear has gabled wing with later gabled addition parallel to front, and right end catslide outshut with slate roof, small single-storey wing to left; segmental-headed carriage entrance; varied fenestration including a horizontally sliding sash.
