GV II
House. Early-mid C17, altered C19. Rendered with incised masonry patterns, plain-tile roof and brick rear lateral stack with pair of diagonal brick flues. 2-unit, through-passage plan. Central C20, part-glazed door with gabled hood flanked by tripartite sash windows, all with moulded, rendered surrounds. 9-pane, C19 horned sash windows to 1st floor with moulded wood surrounds. Ground floor projects slightly and has moulded cornice. Pair of flat-roofed, roof dormer windows. INTERIOR: ogee stop-chamfered spine beams and open fireplace with scoop stop-chamfered bressumer. Roof has collar trusses and 2 tiers of purlins. Timber-framed wing to rear, formerly 3-bay barn, has tie beams, queen posts and collars to principals, and 1 tier of purlins.
