Numbers 18 and 18A Market Street form a single building of probable early C19 date. A building is depicted on the Tithe Map of 1842 which may represent the current structure. It is depicted as a rectangular building facing onto the Market Place. A similar configuration is shown on the 1885 first edition Ordnance Survey map.
