9/137 - Barn c. 40 metres east of Hall o' th' Hill Farm
GV II
Barn, originally belonging to Hall o' th' Hill, probably early C18. Coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, concrete tile roof. Rectangular plan of 6 bays (later single storey addition on south side). Breathers on 2 levels (4 levels in gables). Former opposed wagon doors in centre, now altered, part of one cheek remaining on north side. Left (east) end wall has 2 wide segmental-headed doorways (both blocked) and a square opening at flat floor level; right (west) end has 3 ground floor doorways with jamb stones and rectangular lintels (all blocked), a matching square opening at 1st floor level, a moulded gable coping with kneelers, and a small finial at the apex.
