School, now Reading Room, and attached former Master's House. Early C19, of 2 builds. Coursed squared stone; artificial slate roof to school, stone slates to house. Single-storey, 5-bay school with 2-storey, l-bay house projecting on left. School: raised quoins, plinth; openings are round-arched with imposts and keystones to plain stone surrounds, the windows with projecting sills. Central gabled porch with board door, kneelers and coping C20 fenestration. Hipped roof with central ridge louvre. Master's House: on right a C20 door in surround as school door, to left on each floor a wide C20 window in plain stone surround with projecting sill, hipped roof with tbmstacks on left side and one on right side; the right return has one window as schoolroom part retaining fanlight with glazing bars in head. Rear: school has quoins and 3 windows with plain stone surrounds. Over the school door is a plaque which says "Building 1737" but stylistically the building is early C19 in character.
