Details
TACKLEY BALL LANE 5P4720 (West side) 5/53 Dovecote at Manor Farm 27/08/57 GV II Dovecote. Said to be of 1616, for John Harborne. Regular coursed limestone of alternating wide and narrow courses, with moulded plinth and strongly projecting string course. Stone slate roof has a gable to each side. Square plan. One storey and attic. West side has wide plank door with painted wood lintel. Upper floor has indecipherable datestone in moulded surround. Gables have 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned window with hood mould. Square open timber lantern. Elevations to other sides are similar. Interior has nesting boxes.
