House, now two dwellings. Late C17, remodelled C19 and C20. Coursed ironstone
rubble; artifical stone slate roof, brick stacks. "The Gables", to left is of 2
storeys and attic; 4 bays, with gabled bay to left. C20 stone porch with glazed
door and concrete lintel in third bay from right. 4-light casement windows with
wood lintel in left bay. 3-light casement windows with wood lintels flanking
entrance. 2-light casement window with wood lintel above the entrance. Other
first floor windows are 3-light casements with wood lintels. Small 3-light
casement window with wood lintel to attic. Coped gable end with kneelers.
"Gailyn", to right, probably former outbuilding to "The Gables". C17-C18,
remodelled C20. Coursed ironstone rubble, artificial stone slate roof. One
storey and attic; 2 bays. Central C20 stone porch with double plank doors and
concrete lintel. 2-light casement windows with wood lintels on either side. C20
gabled half dormer. Coped gable end with kneelers. Interior not inspected.
