Cottage ornee. c1830s, extended later C19. Roughly-coursed slatestone rubble walls with some stone dressings; dry Delabole slate roofs with gable and axial stacks. Double-depth plan; original house on the left has 1 room at the front and 2-storey canted entrance porch on the left. Later in C19 a similar sized but deeper wing was added on the right with a new entrance hall on its left. Tudor-Gothic style. 2 storeys. Irregular 4-window range has original canted 2-storey porch, on the left, with blocked arched doorway and slit sidelights, similar arched heads to 1st-floor windows on the left and to doorway of projecting extension under 3rd from left window; 6-panel door with top 4 panels glazed. Mid-floor string between porch and later wing and hoodmould over ground-floor window. All windows are C20 copies of original casements with Y-traceried heads. Former canted windows to right-hand bay have been removed and reinstated as windows within flush wall surface: wide 3-light window to ground floor and tall narrow 2-light window above. INTERIOR: partially inspected; stair with Gothic-style detail and original shutters to left-hand room, also with Gothic-style detail. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: high courtyard wall on the left with large 4-centred arched doorway and vertically-set coping stones.
