Lime kiln and attached outbuilding. C19. Coursed rubble, corrugated iron roof. A prominent half-cylindrical kiln built into the roadside bank, with a low single-storey lean-to range aross the front. The kiln rises c 4m from pavement level, and is c 3.5m wide, with flat plain front over an opening to large quoins, the hearth in a brick segmental vault filling an earlier opening. The back of the kiln is semi-circular, built into the slope, with plain stone-on-edge parapet wall. Attached lean-to is c 10m long and 1.75m high at front; wide trimmed opening to kiln front, and a door to left giving to room with stone sett floor. Although abandoned, and in poor condition, this is of historic interest as a substantial remaining kiln on the island.
