Farmhouse. Early/mid C17 with later alterations and possible earlier origins. MATERIALS: render over cob and slatestone rubble with gabled artificial slate roof and rendered end and ridge stacks. Outbuilding of slatestone rubble with brick quoins and corrugated-iron roof. PLAN: 3-unit plan with C17 front left outshut and C17 central rear outshut flanked by lower C19 outshut to left and C19 rear right-wing with outbuilding attached to rear. EXTERIOR: one storey with attic; 4-window range. Mid C19 half-glazed 4-panelled door to right flanked by 8/8-pane sashes to ground floor and first-floor gabled half-dormers with similar sashes. Outshut to left has C17 four-light ovolo-moulded wood-mullioned window with C19 casements. Further to left is small C17 two-light ovolo-moulded wood-mullioned window adjoining outshut and similar C19 half-dormer. INTERIOR not inspected but noted in 1973 as having original features including stop-chamfered beams, square balusterand square newel stair, C17 panelled shutters to 4-light window, fragment of moulded plaster cornice to first floor and plank doors with H hinges.
