House, now flats. Dated 1728. Brick; hipped Welsh slate roof; brick end stacks. Symmetrical 3-storeys and cellar; 5-window range: 4/4 sashes with cambered heads under gauged brick segmental arches, with moulded stone key blocks and sills; 2/4 sashes in similar settings over; parapet with moulded stone coping. Central entrance: steps to glazed door; wood doorcase has segmental pediment and triglyph frieze on fluted pilasters. Rusticated ashlar quoins; enriched rainwater heads, dated 1728. Right returned side has buttress stacks flanking entrance: 6 fielded-panel door and overlight with glazing bars under flat hood on pilasters and cast-iron columns; two 4/4 sashes over, under gauged brick flat arches; to left, 4/4 sash and blocked opening, under gauged brick segmental arches; rusticated ashlar quoins and moulded stone coping to parapet. Rear elevation similar to front, but door case has plain entablature, and 2/4 sash over mutilated door. INTERIOR: flats retain features, including C18 open well staircase with turned balusters and panelled dado. (Ludlow Historical Research Group).
