Terrace of 3 houses. c1770. Brick with limestone dressings, roughcast side elevation, brick party wall stacks and pantile roof. Double-depth plan. Mid Georgian style. Each of 3 storeys, basement and attic; 1-window range. Pilasters to a cornice, parapet, coped end gables. Nos 18 & 19 have left-hand doorways with consoles to pediments, plate-glass fanlights and 6-panel doors, Spring Hill House has a doorway in Spring Hill, a semicircular arch with a Gibbs surround, fluted transom, a 4-light batswing fanlight and 6-panel door. Each has a central ground-floor canted bay with timber pilasters and cornice and plate-glass sashes, a first-floor Venetian window with interlacing bars to the centre and 6/6-pane and flanking 2/2-pane sashes, and second-floor 5 stepped voussoirs to tripartite windows with 6/6-pane and flanking 2/2-pane sashes, all in flush frames. Spring Hill House has a ground-floor oriel to the right. Rear elevations have full-height canted bays with flush frames and cornices. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: wrought-iron front area railings with urn finials, and rear wall to Spring Hill.
