House. c1860. Brandon Hill Grit rubble with limestone dressings, exterior stacks and roof with bands of red and black double Roman tiles. Double-depth plan. Gothic Revival style. 2 storeys with attic and basement; 5-window range. Ground-floor drip above a band of glazed tiles, and a shallow eaves Lombard frieze. A near central gabled porch has a steep trefoil doorway with a plank door, similar-headed ground-floor windows, 2 paired windows to left and a triple window to right; flat headed mullioned first-floor windows with 1 and 2 lights to left, 3 to right, a 3-light oriel above the porch on stone brackets with quatrefoil panels and trefoil heads, and a good bowed corner oriel to the left end on a carved foliate corbel, deep, moulded base, 7 lights with cusped heads and open tracery above. 2 widely-spaced gabled dormers have mullioned windows with alternating stone relieving arches. The left return has 2 gables with a ground-floor bay to the right and exterior stack to the left, and the right return has a gable with an exterior stack. INTERIOR not inspected. In the manner of Hansom's Nos 1 & 2 Worcester Terrace (qv).
