GV II
Lodge, stable block and attached wall to left. Probably early C19 stables with mid C19 lodge. Ashlar; parapetted roof; stable block of brick with ashlar dressings; slate roofs. 2-storey octagonal lodge; 1st floor sill band and top cornice with balustraded parapet with acroteria; windows have eared architraves and horned sashes; entrance to rear has panelled door. Wall extends approx. 33.5m to left into College Rd; plain rounded coping. Stable block to left and rear of lodge of single storey; 5-window range with later end wings; top brick frieze and ashlar cornice; pedimented centre has angle pilasters and elliptical-headed French window with small-paned glazing and radial fanlight; flanking windows have rubbed brick flat arches over 12-pane sashes, blocked upper elliptical openings; louvred lantern with ogival cupola and weathervane; pedimented wings have return 9-pane sashes and central pedimented entrances. Rear has pedimented centre and some inserted windows; later single-storey block to left of lodge. INTERIORS not inspected.
