GV II

Lodge to Avenue House (q.v.). c1840. Brick with stucco dressings; hipped slate roof with plastered stacks. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Blue brick plinth; ashlar platt band over ground floor. Segmental-headed windows have plain ashlar surrounds with chamfered openings; windows to ground floor have 9-pane sashes over recessed apron panels; 1st floor windows have 6-pane sashes; cross-axial stack has round shafts with cornices. Left return has one window to each floor with gabled porch to right end; segmental-headed entrance has 6-panel door; rounded angle to left end. Right return has C20 porch to right end; window with tripartite horned sash above. Paired gates to left and right have chamfered brick piers with ashlar caps and ball finials; iron gates to left, board gates to right. INTERIOR not inspected.
