GV II
House, now shop and restaurant. Late C18 with C19 alterations and C20 shop. Painted brick front, rubble rear, roof of stone slates with stone gable coping. Long rear wing partly rendered, partly rubble with ashlar dressings. 3 storeys; 2-window range. Passage under at right to Waterloo Yard. Full-width fascia to remainder of front on shop front, window with low stall-risers, slender mullions and canted recessed central entrance with glazed door. 2 corniced canted bay windows above have plain sashes; similar sashes to paired top floor windows with chamfered heads and central shaft. Brick dentilled eaves gutter cornice. Low-pitched roof has right end gable coping and no chimney visible. Rear to Waterloo Yard shows small square lights over passage, and quadrant stair wing with 4-pane and 9-pane fixed lights and pent roof. Rear wing of 2-storey, 2+2-window, range in irregular bays, the second build longer. Plain stone lintel in rendered part adjacemt to front range; plain stone surrounds to door and sashes with glazing bars, broad on first floor, in rubble second build. INTERIOR: stone winder stair in rear wing.
