Vicarage now flats. Probably c1860 by EG Paley (as Church of St George, qv). Slate rubble with quoins and ashlar sandstone dressings, graduated slate roof. 2 storeys, irregular T-shaped plan. Gothic Revival style. Quoined, mullioned windows with wooden casements, pointed arched lights and relieving arches; 1st-floor windows have shouldered lights. South side (facing church): 1:3 bays, bay 1 projecting as a crosswing. Doorway to bay 3 has moulded pointed arch with heads carved on the hoodmould stops; other bays have 3-light windows. 1st floor: 3-light windows to wing and to bay 2; two-light window over door, another to bay 4 in recess beneath dichromatic arch. Ovolo-moulded stone gutter; gables to wing and bay 4 have kneelers and chamfered ashlar copings. 3 slate ridge stacks with ashlar offsets. Right return (facing Salthouse Road): return of front wing has 3-light window to each floor; main range has same, then a gable with 1-storey, canted, bay window of 1:2:1 lights with transom beneath two 2-light windows.
