House with shops. 1694, remodelled early or mid C19. Solid rendered front. Slate roof. Rendered chimney on right gable-end. 2 rooms wide with central entrance-passage; 1-room deep with 2 rear wings. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Centre doorway has flanking pilasters and entablature; panelled reveals; 4-panelled door, the 2 upper panels glazed. Mid C20 shop front to right, late C20 one to left. Upper storeys have raised quoins; raised band, possibly C17, above the window-heads. Windows have moulded eaved architraves; 8-panel sashes. Bracketed eaves-cornice. INTERIOR: ground-floor front rooms have small moulded plaster cornices, probably late C18 or early C19. Description of 1987 refers to early/mid C19 stair at rear of passage; late C17 moulded plaster cornice in first-floor left front room.
