Garment warehouse. Dated 1838; altered. Red brick in Flemish bond with dressings of moulded buff and white terracotta; roof not visible. Rectangular plan. Eclectic style with Romanesque elements.Three storey 5-window facade, symmetrical, centre bay breaking forwards. Centre has segmental-headed waggon doorway with terracotta surround enriched with shafts, keystone, etc., 1st-floor oriel with window of 2 round-headed lights, Tudor-flower band, arcaded 3-light window at 2nd floor and above this attached lettering "ESTABLISHED 1838". Flanking the centre, round-headed doorways at ground floor, round-headed windows at 1st floor, square-headed windows at 2nd floor, and beyond these coupled windows on all floors, those at ground and 2nd floors square-headed, and those at 1st floor round-headed and set in large round-headed blank arches (Tudor-flower sill-bands to these); all these windows with much moulded terracotta enrichment, including twisted shafts with foliated caps. Enriched bracketed eaves. Unusual degree of High Victorian decoration on relatively small building.
