GV II
Pair of semi-detached cottages. C16, altered C20. Rubble stone, part timber-framed, thatched roof with gable end brick stacks. Single storey and attic, 3 windows. C20 door and 2-light casement to left with single-light and 4-light wood mullioned casement in timber-framed bay to right, blocked former fire or stair window to right, 2-light casement to raking dormer. Right-hand cottage has C20 door with single-light casement to left and 2-light fixed window to right. Right return has C20 door and casements. Rear has C20 door, blocked doorway and C20 casements to ground floor with small casement lighting stairs and two raking dormers with 2- light and 3-light casements. Interiors not accessible at time of survey (April 1986), but said to contain crucks. (V.C.H., Wiltshire, Vol 8, 1965)
