SP2404-2504 BROADWELL VILLAGE STREET (West side) 8/127 The Old Vicarage 12/09/55 (Formerly listed as The Cottage)

GV II Former row of 3 cottages, now single house. Mid/late C18 2-bay core with flanking early C19 extensions of one bay to left and 2 bays to right. Much refurbished C20. Coursed rubble limestone with slobbered pointing; thatched roof; 5 rubble stone chimneys along ridge. 1 and a half storeys, 5 bays in all. C20 2-light wooden casements with external double glazing and wooden lintels, the upper windows in thatch eyebrows. Second bay has C20 6-panelled door in C20 porch with flat roof on wooden posts. Another C20 door to right. Blocked doorway to centre. C20 conservatory at left end. Range backs onto churchyard, the rear wall retaining traces of quoins of original C18 part. Irregular C19 and C20 wooden casements, most upper windows blocked. Interior has winder stair in line with central stack, and chamfered spine beam in room adjacent to left. Included for group value.
