Details

CORSHAM PICKWICK ST 86 70 (south side) 4/299 Nos. 2A and 2B GV II

Pair of houses, now one, mid to later C18 with porch and east end extension, No 2A, added 1872 for T.H.A. Poynder of Hartham Park. Original range is rubble stone with stone tiled roofs, coped gables, east end and ridge stacks. Two storeys. Left side has one 2-light upper window, flush cyma-moulded, and ground floor 16-pane sash with hoodmould to left of 6-panel door in chamfered surround set in gabled rock-faced porch with Tudor-style doorway and T.H.A.P. monogram in plaque above. Right side has 2 similar 2- light upper windows, ground floor pair of 12-pane sashes under hoodmould and single flush cyma-moulded light with dripstone to right. Corsham Dairy, to left end, is of rock-faced stone with ashlar corbelled eaves and half-hipped east gable to stone tiled roof. Openings in raised ashlar surrounds, upper 2-light window with stone chamfered coping below over slightly projected plate- glass shop window. Door to left with coping over.
