GV II

Two houses. No.53 incorporates a shop. Probably C18 or earlier. Regular coursed ironstone rubble. C20 tile roofs. 2 brick ridge stacks. No.53: 2-unit plan. Single storey plus attic. Doorway to left has C20 door and plain wood surrounds Shop window to right has 9 large panes. Two 2-light casements to attic. House to left: Central door flanked by two 3-light metal casements. 4-panelled door has moulded wood frame and Victorian porch with bargeboard. Ground floor windows have stone flat arches. Two 3-.light metal casements with wooden lintels to attic. Carriageway to left. Interior: No.53 has remodelled C20 shop interior. Easter Cottage has stop chamfered beams and chamfered bressumer to fireplace. Stone flag floors. Staight flight staircase with quarter turn.
