1/144 Beehive Cottage -
GV II
House, latterly 2 dwellings. C16 origins probable, extended C17, altered C20. Timber frame, plastered with some weatherboarding. Thatched roofs. Probably a small 2 bay open hall extended by addition of parlour bay to left, lobby entry plan with a porch and a short rear wing, both probably C20 additions re- using older materials. 1 storey and attic. Entrance to left of centre in a gabled 1 storey and attic porch, reset panelled double doors, flanking and attic casements, diamond mullioned window in right return. To right a short catslide roof over a weatherboarded lean-to outshut with a 2-light casement. An axial ridge stack at left end of original building, slightly lower ridge to C17 parlour bay to left with gable end ground floor exposed diamond mullions, attic 4-light ovolo mullioned window. Right gable end C19 external stack with offsets, exposed plates. To rear 2-light glazing bar casements and three 2-light gabled dormers. Behind main stack is 1 storey and attic added wing. Interior not inspected.
