Details

TILSHEAD HIGH STREET SU 04 NW (north side) 1/265 North Manor II Wrongly shown on O.S. map as Manor Farm. Detached house. Late C18, 2-storey rear extension to north c1800, added bay to west and remodelling mid-C19. Plastered Flemish bond brick, Welsh slate roof with chamfered brick stacks. T-plan. 2-storey, 3-window front to late C18 range, to left is one-bay addition. Central 6- panelled door, either side is one 8-pane tripartite sash with louvred shutters, to left is canted bay window with French windows. First floor has 2-light casement with 3-light casements to either side, to left is 8-pane tripartite sash. Continuous wooden verandah with glazed roof to front of main range. Left return is blank, traceried bargeboards to gable. Right return has one plate glass sash to left of ground floor and small casement to attic. Rear service wing has C20 door, blocked porch and 3-light wooden casement to ground floor and two 16-pane sashes to first floor of east side. Interior has reused ceiling beams to late C18 ground floor, mid C19 drawing room has moulded plaster ceiling cornice and marble fireplace.
